After Android Hackathon

Android Hackathon organized by GDG Ankara took place at İşkalesi between 13-14 October. 30 developers were chosen among 170 applicants. 14 teams, which were composed of 1,2 or 3 developers, competed in the hackathon. Developers developed an Android application from scratch in 24 hours. Teams that were placed first,second and third gained various prizes. 1. team gain one Samsung Galaxy S3  from Başarı Mobile and free membership to İşkalesi for three months, 2. team gain one Samsung Galaxy S2 from OBSS and free membership to İşkalesi for two months and 3.team gain one Samsung Galaxy S from Globile and free membership to İşkalesi for one month. Furthermore, the team who gain the maximum points won a Google Nexus 7 tablet and Netmera Pro account.

During the hackathon, food and beverages were provided by Tadım Pizza, Trikante and Kafes Fırın.

During the event, 75 tweets were sent by GDG Ankara twitter account and photos are share by GDG Ankara Google+ page.

The winner team will compete in V Hack Android in London.

The winner teams:

1. Beam it! application by Said Tahsin Dane oldu.
2. Movie Mania application by Engin Tekin, Yekmer Şimşek and İlkay Ayas
3. Gurme application by Can Özkan, Göksel Güren and Ümit Koca

Furthermore Pinng application by Mustafa İlker Saraç,Ertan Kantarcioglu and Anıl Barış Saydere won Netmera prize.

With this application, you ask a question and other people answer to your question and you learn other people’s thoughts about a subject. Questions can be text or image. You can share the questions on social media.

IBAN.im

This application helps you to store and share IBAN number of your bank accounts.

İsim Şehir

This is a multiplayer game that users tries to find a city,a animal and a name that starts with a specifies letter.

Movie Mania

This is a game that wants you to guess a movie. A piece of the movie is played, and user trys to find the movie name. This is a multiplayer game and you connect with your facebook account.

myNear

You can chat with the people near you with this application. Location info is taken from the GPS.

Nöbetçi

This app is for the doctors. App holds the all kinds of info about the regular turn of the doctors.

Pinng

This is a game for competing your city and country knowledge. Users will try to find the city that is asked by the system randomly.

SepetX

Application helps user to see the price of products on real time, warns the user when the total price reaches the limit and shows campaigns and ads specific to the current user.User can share the price of products on social media.

Şehri Keşfet

This app helps you to learn other people’s thoughts and enjoys. You can learn every place that other people advice ib the city. This app will be your guide in a city. You can also comment about the places in the city.
Categories are shopping, food, sport,history,culture,health and interesting.

Teeter

This game uses the device sensors. Aim of the game is to move the ball to the target using sensors.
